At Mullumbimby Woodworks we are constantly salvaging and cutting various timbers. These logs are cut "maximum recovery," a technique almost compulsory in the year 2000 where we are seeing forests being shut, the availability of quality timbers diminishing - the maximum utilization of the tree is most important.

A range of timber is kept on hand and sawn into boards and beams, softwoods and hardwoods cut as value adding to salvaged logs. A selection of logs are always on hand for custom orders, with 25 mm2, 50x25 mm, 38 mm2, 150 mm, 200 mm and 250 mm boards sought after both for furniture and for house construction.

A selection of Australian natives and exotics are cut in various sections and offered for sale as bowl turning, spindle turning, carving blocks, scroll and fretsaw work.
